At present, the collection is stored in 8590 boxes, the numbers of the individuals and species cannot be estimated with certainty. The type material belongs to about 1600 taxa and is listed preliminarily. Zusammenfassung Informationen zur Geschichte, zum Aufbau und zum Zuwachs der Käfersammlung am Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart werden gegeben. Die Sammlung ist zur Zeit in 8590 Kästen untergebracht, die Zahl der Individuen und Arten läßt sich nicht hinreichend genau abschätzen.
