Short details on morphology are given for a few species. A new species, Phorocera atri-cans n. sp. is described. Literature records are also included, allowing this paper to be used also as a preliminary checklist for the Tachinidae from the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. Zusammenfassung Diese Arbeit enthält Daten zur Verbreitung und Ökologie von 315 Tachinen-Arten, die vom Autor zwischen 1979 und 1990 auf der Iberischen Halbinsel (Spanien und Portugal) sowie Mallorca gesammelt wurden. 119 Arten werden zum ersten Mal für Spanien, 32 Arten zum ersten Mal für Mallorca nachgewiesen. Für wenige Arten werden kurze Angaben zur Morphologie gegeben. Eine neue Art, Phorocera atncans n. sp., wird beschrieben. Diese Zusammenstellung kann auch als ein vorläufiges Verzeichnis der Tachinidae der Iberischen Halbinsel und der Balearen benutzt werden, weil die Meldungen in der Literatur berücksich-tigt sind.
