Todd This paper, a revision of the genus Eusceptis Hubner, is the first of a proposed series of revisionary papers on the American species of the noctuid subfamily Acontiinae. The purpose of this paper is to provide keys, illustrations, and descriptions that will facilitate identifications, and to assemble the acciunulated knowledge pertaining to the distribution and biology of the species of the genus. The revision is the result of a study of the literature and the specimens in the collection of the United States National Museum, supplemented by specimens and information received from the following individuals and institutions: D.
