We have, in Bulletin 11 of the United States National Museum, a bibliography of the fishes of the Pacific coast of the United States, brought up to the end of 1879, by Prof. Theodore Gill. There was, however, such great activity of publication during 1880 on the fishes of the same waters that I have collected the titles of papers in the princi-pal works referring to the region, in order to make them immediately available in conjunction with the Bulletin already printed.
