AEGIPHILA ACULEIFERA Moldenke. The species ascends to at least 1^00 m. in Costa Rica and has been collected in anthesis in November. A vernacular name in Costa Rica is "tabaquilla" . Additional citations! COSTA RICA: Alajuela: Brenes 5709 [501] (P-2). 6. AEGIPHILA ANOMALA Pittier . The species has been collected in anthesia in May and in fruit in February. A vernacular name in Costa Rioa is "taba-quillo" . It has been confused by some with Siparuna and a few herbarium specimens have been distributed under that name!
