AEGIPHILA ACULEIFERA Moldenke. The species ascends to at least 1^00 m. in Costa Rica and has been collected in anthesis in November. A vernacular name in Costa Rica is "tabaquilla" . A vernacular name in Costa Rioa is "taba-quillo" . It has been confused by some with Siparuna and a few herbarium specimens have been distributed under that name!
