The lip, except a few stiff hairs fringing its anterior margin, is quite hidden by the clypeus, which is not marked off from the front by any line or impression as in Prionus. The an-tennae have all the joints from the fifth to the tenth inclusive dilated on one side towards the apex. My specimen appears to be a male.
