XXVII. SOME SPONGES PARASITIC ON CLIONIDAE WITH FURTHER NOTES ON THAT FAMILY. By N. Annandale, D.Sc, F.A.S.B., Superintendent, Indian Museum. (Plate XXXIV.) In a recent paper on the Clionidae of Indian seas {Rec. Ind. Mus. XI, pp. 1-24) I referred incidentally to other sponges parasitic in their burrows. I now propose to give an account of these sponges adding some additional notes on the Indian Clionidae. The systematic position of the different species may be con-sidered first, in taxonomic order, and then their biological rela-tionships. Part I.— SYSTEMATIC.
