A third collection of Fishes from Western Australia has heen forwarded to the Trustees, by Mi-. Bernard H. AVoodward, Curator of the Western Australian Museum. This collection is larger, and richer in novelties than the pre-ceding ones, and yields three new genera : — Neatyiyns of the family Scorpididse Bramichthys of the Bramidte Dipulus of the Brotulidte. Nine species are described as new : — Catidus labiosus. Synodus sayeneus. Neatypus ohliquus. Ch(ftodon assaritis. Bramichthys woodwca rlL Cynoglossus broadhursti. Diptdus cjHcus. PseudomonacmitJi us (jalii. Chddoderm is viaccidlochi. Figures of the^e are supplied, and also of the following known species, not previously illustrated : — Terapon hiimeralis, Ogilby. Hypsipops viicrolepis. Giinther. Pseudofabfus punctulatns, Giinther. Fat(fcus mncnlatus, Giinther. Many of the fishes received are duplicates of those pre^•iously determined, and *are not included in the present paper. A number of species, however, known from Western Australia is herein enumerated ; these claim inclusion by virtue of the precise localities recorded. The majority of such are new to the west coast, they having previously been known from King George's Sound only, which, though politically in the Western State, is on the south coast of the Continent. 1 No. 1.
