— 248 -Second Addition to the Knowledge of the Dermaptera and Orthoptera of the Canary Islands by C. WILLEMSE (33rd Contribution to the knowledge of the Fauna of the Canary Islands, edited by Dr. D. L. Uyttenboogaart, and continued by Dr. C. O. van Regteren Altena l)). The list of species of Dermaptera and Orthoptera of the Canary Islands published by me in 1936 (Natuurh. Maandbl., vol. 25) was followed by a first addition in 1949 (Tijds. v. Entomol., vol. 91 (for 1948), pp. 7 — 11). At the time of publication of this addition some works were unknown to me and overlooked. The following additions have therefore to be made. ORTHOPTERA Familia ACRIDIDAE Dociostaurus maroccanus Thunb. Gran Canaria : Tafira, Las Lagunetas ; Tenerife : Las Merce-des, Tacoronte, Agua Mansa (Uvarov, 1948)2). Aiolopus thalassinus Fabr. Gran Canaria : Tafira, Atalaya, Las Lagunetas ; Tenerife : San Andres, Las Mercedes, Tacoronte, Villa Orotava, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico ; La Palma : Santa Cruz, Barranco del Rio, Los Llanos, La Caldera; Gomera : Hermigua (Uvarov, 1948). Aiolopus strepens Latr. Gran Canaria : Tafira, Las Lagunetas ; Tenerife : Santa Cruz, Laguna, Las Mercedes, Tacoronte, Agua Mansa ; La Palma : Santa Cruz, Barranco del Rio, Los Llanos, La Caldera ; Gomera : Hermigua (Uvarov, 1948). Locusta migratoria L. ph. solitaria Gran Canaria: Tafira; Tenerife: Laguna, Tacoronte (Uvarov, 1948). Oedipoda canariensis Krauss Gran Canaria : Las Palmas, Tafira ; Tenerife : San Andres, Santa Cruz; La Palma: Los Llanos (Uvarov, 1948). Acrotylus insubricus Scop. ^) Contribution no. 32 has been published in Zool. Meded. (Leiden), vol. 30, no. 15 (1949). ^) I prefer to use the Spanish orthography of the names of the different loca-lities.
