Evenhuis' Abstract. One hundred and nine holotypes. lectotypes. and st\pes of Bomb\-liidae deposited in the entomological collections of the Museum of Comparati\e Zoology are listed. Lectotypes are designated for 27 taxa based on material in MCZ. INTRODUCTION This catalog lists the primary types of 109 ta.xa of Bombyliidae located in the entomological collections of the Museum of Compara-tive Zoology. Harvard University. Cambridge (MCZ). Fifty-sexen of these ta.xa are represented by holotypes, 1 7 by syntype series, and 35 by lectotypes. All but one of the types listed here are deposited in the general collection of the MCZ. The unique male holot\pe of Epihaies harrisi Osten Sacken is deposited in the Thaddeus W. Harris collection, which is maintained separately from the general collection. Twenty-seven new lectotype designations are recorded herein including two by Jack C. Hall, University of California. Riv-erside. Of the remaining 25 new lectotypes, three are designated in Hall and Evenhuis (1981). The format used here follows that of Radovsky ei al. ( 1976) with modifications.
