In the months of August and September 1900 1 collected some beetles, mostly small specimens, in Surinam, as well on the coast as in the inland. On my way back to Europe by the English Royal Mail , I visited Barbadoes and stayed there for a fortnight, in which time I also collected some Coleoptera Dr. H. J. Veth has been kind enough to classify this collection and to determine a part of the species. Entomologist who might wish to study species of this collection ai'e kindly requested to communicate with Dr. D. L. Uyttenboogaart, N. Spiegelstraat 39, Amsterdam. Very common on the banks of creeks near Paramaribo.
