AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES CONTRIBUTED TO BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY BY OWEN BRYANT 1 VASCO M. TANNER Professor of Zoology and Entomology Brigham Young University Mr. Owen Bryant, a very careful and successful collector and student of insects, especially Coleoptera, also collects Amphibians and Reptiles when they are handy. For many years I have enjoyed cor-responding and carrying on an exchange of Coleoptera with Mr. Bryant and his interesting and companionable wife, Mrs. Bryant. Recently Mr. Bryant contributed the following Amphibian and Reptiles to the Brigham Young University Herpetological collection. Since many of the specimens come from localities which are new to the collection, I am pleased to make this brief report. AMPHIBIANS Family Ambystomidaf, . Inibystoina tif/rinum nebnlosiini Hallowell i!YU 89.S(). Gore Pass. Colorado. IX-13, 1948 Mr. J>ryant collected this larval specimen at an elevation of 8000 feet. Family Plkt ti odontida r. Ensatina eschscholtzii xaiUhoptica Stebbins BYU 9091. La Honda, California. \-20. 1949 One young specimen 41 mm. long. Stebbins' stud}' of this genus, 1949 indicates that there may I)e some intergradation between orcgonin-sis and xanthoptica in this area. Batmchoseps attenuatus attenuatus (Esch.) BYU 9092-94. La Honda. California. V-2(), 1949 BYU 9087-90. Moss Beach, California.
